It’s been a while between drinks, and to celebrate (see: commiserate) winter being fast upon us and AWARD school being well underway, we’ll be raising a glass to the rise in tech that got us all jobs: the dot com boom. That’s right, cast your minds back to the late nineties… our ECDs were just getting their foot in the door, our GADs were spending more time lunching with their clients than doing any work, and the producers actually had budget to send people to shoots. Why were they all so carefree, you might ask? Probably cos their salaries outweighed the cost of living, but hey, who am I to judge?
